I noticed there was some discussion on Dylusions sprays and I wonder whether to go for them - I have  mica sprays that I have hardly used.  Also, if I do take the plunge, which colours should I start with?

I see Kate Crane has gone from "use anything you have or can get your hands on" in DVDs 1&2 to "specific" products in DVDs 3&4 now that she is a Ranger Educator.

Mine came last week Mickie and I had one go with them before I went away and I am just blown away by the colours.  I got vibrant turquoise, london blue (as I liked the way Helen Chilton used them in the last CS), Bubblegum pink (lovely!!!!!), pure sunshine and fresh lime.

I'll try and get a pic of the journal page I made with them.  Just stunning!  Well I like the page, but I mean the inks are stunning.

Kate Crane in her DVD 3 and 4 does a number of different backgrounds using the dylusions, acrylic paints and sprays made from other inks.  So not too product based.  It is the way she then uses each of the pages to make a brilliantly different journal page which is what I enjoyed.  So many different ways of using bottle tops, bits of paper and textures.

Hope this helps.

All ready to add something to it!  Great colour - I've not been able to get this sort of colour and effects with anything else.  My hands are the same colour  Laughing

Thank you both very much.  All very helpful.   The page you have done is fabulous Jennie and  am grateful fo the heads up about wearing an apron Becky.  I don't mind my hands getting covered in ink as they usually are anyway, Just don't want to ruin the "wardrobe".

I think I will put Dylusions Inks on my shopping list for AllyPally.  Do hope someone is doing a show offer for them Wink

Sorry Vonny, didn't see your post until it was too late.  I don't think there were much in the way of offers on the Dylusions sprays.  I did buy some and consoled myself with the thought that I wouldn't be paying postage Cool

Did you get any?

no I didn't in the end -decided to stick to my homemade ones with DI refills. With my little journal that I have currently I decided spraying was probably not a good option amyway.

Take your point Vonny.  Do you think you will graduate to a bigger size Journal after the little one is full?

Have to say I am quite fond of my little one but now I am also keen to go larger following Kate Crane's DVDs.  Although I haven't got the urge to actually journal as such. at the moment I am happy just to do the backgrounds:wink:
