The weeks seem to be flying by - quicker than usual Wink

I'm hoping to get a moment to work on some UFOs  They pile up so quickly.  If they were a pile it would be better  I have them in bags, which are not so safe and just add to the clutter.   Rolling Eyes

We had a cooler night and I slept well.  What a difference a good night's sleep can bring........ just imagine a few night's worth of good sleep ........... bliss Wink

Just popping in quickly to say cheerio! I am on the ferry tonight and join Terry in Lochinver tomorrow evening (it takes ALL day to cross the north of Scotland but train and bus!).

Have a great summer everyone and I am sure I will be keeping in touch here and there on Facebook when we get a signal - the boys like to know that we are still alive  Laughing xxx

Becky - Saturday's set was the first set of Stampin up stamps I had ever bought. I like some of the designs but think they are over-priced for what they are. The set was part of the kit we used to make 20 cards and apart from glue we didn't need anything extra.
Yesterday we went into London and saw the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy (not as good as previous years IMO) and also managed to visit the National Portrait Gallery which was much more stimulating. A long day involving lots of walking so we are taking it easier today.

sounds like a good visit Scrapmate. I am back into my routine, at least for this week with line dancing yesterday and the stitching group I volunteer with this afternoon. Made a point of sitting and knitting out in the garden for a bit yesterday as rain was forecast for today and it has been spitting on and off all day.

You most definitely needed the line dancing to warm up down here Vonny. It started raining Tuesday evening and is finally easing off today! Sad

I agree with you Scrapmate about the Stampin' Up stamps, lovely designs but a tad rich for my purse. It is amazing how much walking is involved when visiting exhibitions or galleries. Have you ever visited the Garden Museum at St Mary at Lambeth Scrapmate? My late sister-in-law and I came across it quite by accident after visiting the Tate gallery. At the time the church was holding an exhibition of Gertrude Jekyll's gardening and the church garden was being reclaimed and being planted up with plants that the Tradescants had introduced as father and son are buried in the church yard. What I hadn't realised is that Captain Bligh of the Mutiny of the Bounty  fame is also buried there. From the photographs I've seen of the garden and church recently it is hugely different from what was there when we visited a decade or so ago! The Tradescants tomb is worth looking at though with the wonderful carved decorations on it.

Scrapmate hope your arm is much better now. My back/sciatica is slowly improving.
Vonny the classic car is a lovely blue, it is a Jowett Jupiter once built in Bradford in 1953.

Sorry I haven't been around much - I tried to get the landline moved to our new house and BT cut the line off here but can't put a phone into the other house for a few weeks due to a shortage of lines! So I'm back to visiting the library for wifi.

I am feeling better and my medication has been reduced - I still get tired some days which is annoying as I used to be full of energy.

We've finished the painting in the new house and hubby is now putting the units together for my craft room.  Can't wait to get the boxes unpacked!

Hope you have good weather for sailing Jennie.  Enjoy the rest of your week.

Yes my arm is much better thanks. That is one eye-catching car! The old cars had something dashing about them which the cars of today lack - I guess it's all about functionality now.
We went to see a movie today called 'Another Mother's Son' , a true story about a lady called Louise Gould who gave refuge to a Russian escapee while Jersey was under German rule in the 1940s. It wasn't a movie that I'd heard of but it was very interesting, well acted and quite sad.

Morning all sorry not been around but the week has gone so quick and have done very little.
Love the car and the colour is gorgeous Rusticus  I was born in that year as well.
Have a lovely time away Jennie and fingers crossed the weather is good for you.
Glad you are feeling better Margaret  and what a pain to have to go to the Library for WI-FI  I thought the days of  shortage of lines were over we had that problem years ago's. When are you planning to move in.
Mickie I know what you mean about UFO I have a few my problem is I put them upstairs and forget them  Laughing
I do agree with you Scrapmate  stampin up is  rather expensive when you only like 1 design in a set  I love my stamps so want good value although I have been known to buy some expensive stamps  Very Happy

Whenever hubby drives the car up to the local (seaside) cafe the car attracts a great deal of attention. We sit sipping coffee watching these people pose alongside it having their photos taken Laughing  We have considered charging for the photos!!!
Hubby has always wanted a classic car but we never had the money for one, we had some spare cash after selling our house 2 years ago and as interest rates are absolutely rubbish now he decided on the car as it will gain in value. It does need a respray but he has been told that it must be done in the same colour Laughing

Margaret what a pain about your landline hope BT sort it soon. We had a similar problem when we moved and it took them almost 3 weeks to sort it out. Hope you can soon get your boxes unpacked and finally settle down in your new house. Hopefully your energy will soon return once the meds have 'bedded' in!

That film sounds interesting Scrapmate. Is it very sad because I'm the one who always needs lots of tissues Laughing  I cried during 101 Dalmations and that was the book!!

Yes Rusticus it was sad and you would have needed tissues- I'm the same as you. DH always comes equipped with tissues. The funniest was several years ago whilst we were watching Les Miserables the musical. Although I was seeing it for the 4 th time, by the end DH was dishing out tissues to me on his right and some random female who was also sobbing on his left.
