Wow great tags Margaret and Becky.  No i didn't have the pine cones either, but cut a wobbly circle and wound it around a cocktail stick!  Here's my day 2:  love the picket fence technique on craft paper.

these are eally great- just shows how you can adapt to what you have. I have only just managed to visit his blog, let alone make tags - and still have the kissing one to do!
margaret rorie

This is my tag for day 2 - it looks very plain compared to Tim's.  I used the ordinary kraft resist paper which didn't have the nice Xmas pictures.  Margaret

Lovely tags everyone - the snowman one is my favourite tag so far of the series.

Jennie I love the red one is that a stamp that can be used all year round?

Mickie x
Jennie

Mickie the red one is the embossing folder from Ranger/Sissix.  I use it over and over again.  There is so much on it you can always find a relevant bit!

Here is my day 5.  Not great as I struggled to get the black ink off without smudging it all.  I have just put my stamps away and realised I could have used the Tim Holtz flourish as Neil Walker has also done.  It might have made a better background.

Here is my day 6 tag.  If you are thinking it is not for you do give it a try as the technique is absolutely spectacular.  I've put some pictures on my blog of the stages as you really wouldn't think it would turn out so well.  I really enjoyed this one - did you guess  Laughing

Jennie and Alison - thank you for your lovely comments.  Your tags for today are beautiful!  I've posted my attempt - I don't have any bright paints and struggled to find a suitable embossing folder.  Having looked at your blog, Jennie, I think I will try again - think this would work well with cogs/clocks.  Margaret

They all look brilliant! I didn't fancy the steampunk look today, so I used some different stamps, the set from yesterday's tag & some Elusive images ones.

Day 8 tag has just become my favourite so far Laughing  I just love what you have all done with the steampunk theme.   I am rather taken with Alison's tag too.  I think the three kings were probably the "steam punkers" of their day so very good choice as an alternative.

Day 7 tags you have all done are really good too.

Again, well done and keep up the good work  I love to see what you have come up with Laughing

Fantastic steampunk tags, everyone!  When I saw this theme my heart sank as it is not one of my favourites but it is good to have a challenge so here is my tag 8.  (The tree was inspired by Glenda from Chocolate Baroque)  Margaret

Lovely tag Margaret, the tree looks great!

Lovely tags Alison and Margaret it is lovely to see them all.

You are lucky Maggie to be able to see the wildlife lovely pic of mr fox.

Jennie

A super tag Margaret - you have certainly used your own supplies to great effect.

Here is my tag for today.  I didn't have a candle die and couldn't make any of my upright dies fit, so I drew a candle.  All the "fussy" bits were covered by the wreath.  The double embossing technique is great, although my lovely red background went a bit orange.

Maggie
margaret rorie

Maggie - it's not actually a Xmas tree stamp (although Choc Baroque do have them.)  I used a Paperartsy Minis stamp of cogs and then cut out the tree.  Margaret
craftytrog

Looks great Jennie, I had to cut my own candlestick out too. Love your tree Becky!

Here's my no.9. Unfortunately, it was getting dark by the time I took the photograph.

Great tags everyone and I love to see the alternatives - perhaps the challlenge would be to do a Tims tag without any of his products just the techniques (may need to allow DIs tho!)  Laughing
Miriam

Lovely work ladies
margaret rorie

More lovely work from everyone.  Here is my tag 10 - I cut the candle out freehand too.  I really liked the double embossing technique and will use it again.  Margaret

Some great tags ladies!  Margaret and Alison your candles look great.  And I love all the bits and pieces on your tag 10 Alison.  It looks fantastic.  Here's mine for day 10.  I did do the transfer and it worked a treat, but I couldn't get them to stick to my fragment, so I've got six (yes I kept trying!!!!) squidy pieces sitting on my desk!

margaret rorie

Lovely fragments, everyone.  Very Happy  Here is my tag 10 - I'm not sure if I got all the backing paper off the images but I will try this technique again.  I made my own tattered banner as I don't have Tim's die.  Margaret

Here is my take on tag 12 - I tried making one of Tim's tissue flowers but couldn't get it to work so made one of Jennie's instead!  Thanks for sharing this technique, Jennie.  Can't believe this is the last day.   Crying or Very sad Margaret

What a wonderful selection of tags everyone.  Well done. Laughing

Vonny I quite like your idea of a challenge to do Tim's tags but without using any of his stuff, except of course DI Cool

Feel quite sad that the 12 tags are at an end for this year.  Still, we have the holiday to look forward to now Laughing

When I saw your tag  Alison  it was so spooky we have almost used the same stash and ideas where we have improvised - great minds and all that, Margaret your tag and flower are great.
I really enjoyed this one and put everything aside this morning to make it - should have been doing Christmas stuff or h*******k.....not a chance when it was the last tag! Laughing

Here is tag 11
I loved the retro style  it reminded me of my childhood in the '50's although mine has used Tim's stickers which I cut out not stamp

Wow Day 12 was a stunner and all your tags are fantastic!  Great colours and great ideas for the embellishments.   What great interpretations. Margaret I love your flower!  Afraid mine is only just finished, I had so many commitments today, so you can't really see the sepia feel to it as I had to use the flash.  I made three tissue flowers, but they just didn't look right on my tag, so I added one of my own.  My favourite is still the steampunk tag Shocked  Shocked

Miriam

Well done ladies.  Your tags are wonderful.  I am disappointed that I could not find the time to join in.
Mickie

I'm with you there Miriam I would love to have joined in. Sad   Maybe by the time I retire he will still be doing the 12 tags Wink

The tags are all really really lovely.  You must all be feeling very pleased with what you have achieved.

Mickie x
vonny

Congratulations on all the lovely tags - i especially like it when you all use your own stash to make a version.  Smile
Jennie

Just catching up - some lovely tags everyone.  Great when so many of us are able to take part - but I must admit it does take quite a bit of time and I couldn't do it if I wasn't at home all the time (don't like saying retired - going through a feeling old stage  Very Happy )

LOL  Laughing with you Jennie me too!! must be the winter blues!

Maggie
Mickie

Cheer up Jennie and Maggie it is only the cold, dark, days of winter that are talking.   Thursday is the shortest day and after that it is all up hill to the clocks going forward again.  Hurrah Laughing

Mickie x
stampaholic

Hurrah  Laughing  thanks Mickie!

Maggie
Jennie

I think it is the fact that I ache so much  Laughing I actually rather love these dark days of winter - perhaps I am a bit odd  Laughing
vonny

funny, while I am still at work I can't think of anything better than saying "I'm retired". no doubt i will cahnge my mind when it happens. I don't think either of you are old - you certainly seem to have full and active lives - more so than many younger people -so long live staying at home!
Jojo79

Wonderful tags. I like that they don't all look the same and you have used Tim's tags as an inspiration.

I will be using some of his ideas in the next few months. I love the xmas trees using the rosette die - will be have a go a these for next year.
