Grungepaper Flowers

Here is the link to the best grungepaper flower demonstration I've come across.

You can make then in grungepaper, paperstock or textile (my denim flower was based on the same principle)

Thanks Jennie, I've been wanting to try these for ages.

Just had a look at your blog, by the way. Absolutely stunning stuff, wow. Your books are amazing!

Thank you Sophie.

Do try the flowers, they are great and very addictive ......

During the lull after our Friendship Supper last night I tore some "squares" from the tablecloth and made a scrunchy flower.

Didn't have any glue or brads or such so screwed up some scraps into a little ball, then folded them into a twist of more scrap to make like a hollylhock centre, then made a hole in the middle of the "flower" with the point of a biro and pushed the centre through with the point extending like a small stem from below the flower.

My flower was much admired and I ended up making a few.

Before anyone cries "vandalism" the tablecloth was actually bangueting roll and we were only going to tear it off the tables and bin it anyway.

Very Happy   Love it!  I do it all the time  Smile Now I'm on the lookout for some lovely textile ones - do you think they'll miss a square  Laughing

I came back from Switzerland with a load of cheese wrappers (knicked from the local cheesery), sweetie and chocolate papers and a lovely swiss chocolate box which I'm waiting for hubby to finish the chocolates.  He'd better not have his eye on the box!

Brilliant idea Jennie - will have to remember to save interesting wrappers.   Laughing   I love the way the flowers change according to the different textures used.  Laughing
