Good idea Becky.  I don't have a favourite book either Laughing   Like Kathy Reichs too, and the colour you have used for your page.

Lovely page Becky.
vonny

love the skeleton1 -and I like her books too tho I am not sure about the latest one I read!
margaret rorie

Lovely page, Becky.  Here is my attempt - I enjoyed planning the page  but not sure about the final result.  Never very happy with my handwriting!  I like all Margaret Elphinstone's books but I think this one is my favourite.

very effective page - and your handwriting really adds to it. i think most of us don't like our own writing but it is very individual
vonny

As I did a page about a favourite book - see page 4 in my gallery, i decided to do a favourite song this month !

Some great journal pages everyone - they are all so personal.  I am really loving these subjects as the journal becomes more about me.

Your writing is lovely Margaret and as Vonny says, makes it very personal.  However, you know how I hate my writing!

I got my pages made in Ireland but need some time to get them on to the camera.  Hopefully tomorrow.
Beckyb

Both lovely pages well done girls your handwriting is alot better than mine Margaret hoping I will get braver as we go along  Laughing .

My favourite book page.  Again I did this one in Ireland, so I didn't have much with me.  The flowers are cut from a napkin (endless, but I had time on my hands!) and do look quite spectacular.

Those flowers are very effective Jennie.

We should think of handwriting as being good if it is legible and Margaret, Jennie, Becky, et al and you all do have nice writing Laughing

Nice page Vonny - is this your little book like mine?  If so, whose stamps are they?  They must be quite small to get the three down the page as you have done.

Lovely work ladies xx

Lovely work, Vonny and Jennie.  I'm enjoying this challenge - don't think I would have tried journalling on my own.  Margaret
Beckyb

Lovely page Jennie you have so much patience .

Catherine Scanlon (in the US) sent me a great pair of scissors after she heard I was using a pair of dog scissors (actually they are ok and never been used for a dog - just brilliantly sharp!).  They are Colour Bee by EK Success (she is one of their demonstrators) and you can get them from Sir Stampalot.  They are absolutely BRILLIANT!! and make cutting out so much easier.  I even managed to cut out some flowers with a white border they are so sharp.

Like the sound of those scissors Jennie - thank you for the link and having looked I must say they do have a wonderful range of scissors per se.  Will have to treat myself, or should I say indulge? Laughing

the flowers look gorgeous and effective on yout page Jennie. Mickie, the journal is the small one like yours and these stamps are by Cherry pie and called Postoids -they are all stamps with faces of women through the ages -I jusat cut the faces out to use. Onvoke do some a similair size often in tag shapes -i have the nature/bird set
Mickie

Thanks for that Vonny, think I shall have to look at getting some - so useful for the little book Laughing

I have done my March page but am having awful trouble getting a clear photograph.  I used a sparkly pen to write with and this becomes quite blurred in the photography.  Embarassed

Mickie x
vonny

just do the best you can to give us a taste of it -I expect the glitter was reflecting the flash or something
Mickie

Well, here is my page and I hope you get the flavour of it.  I cannot tell you how many photos at differing focal lengths, not to mention two different cameras plus my phone I used!  Still decidedly blurred and, yes, I think my sparkly pen is to blame,

By way of explanation of the words, I don't actually have a favourite book so I changed it to Books I Like to Read - this is the book behind the Raven.  The words radiating out are from top to bottom: Espionage, Recipes, Crime, Historical, War, Mystery, Thrillers.

And then, after all that, I found I had had the journal the wrong way up when I stuck everything down Rolling Eyes

Miriam

Lovely page Mickie - just call the upside down page 'quirky'   Laughing
vonny

whoops!
Love the page tho specially the radiating colour at the back then the words matching it -very effective  Very Happy
Jennie

A lovely page Mickie and knowing how small your book is I would imagine some very tiny work.
Beckyb

Great page Mickie and doing it upside down is the sort of thing I would do  Laughing

Thank you for your encouragement everyone. Laughing Really enjoying this challenge.

Here are another couple of pages about books - I can use the tags to keep a record of books I have read/enjoyed. Margaret.

Love your pages  Margaret

really love this idea Margaret. It could work for other things too e.g. photos of projects made
margaret rorie

Thanks for the comments.  A good idea to make a little book of your projects, Vonny.  I take photos but they tend to stay on the computer!  Margaret
vonny

that's what I do with my quilts and knitting so perhaps this will be a future project for me.
Mickie

Thanks for the idea Margaret - my stuff usually stays on my computer too.  However, a handy list of audible books and electronic books would be good for me as I do both but can never remember in which format I have what Rolling Eyes

Miriam

Such lovely work Smile
