Click to see full size image

This is my attempt at peeled paint I did it as it said in CS and it did'nt work so I watched Julia Andrus on you tube and that worked better. In Cs they say allow to dry overnight before rubbing off top layer mine all came off.I painted some mountboard then Vaseline then another coat of paint heat dried and then rubbed off while still warm.

Looks great Becky. like purple clouds behind a plant!

I think when I did it i allowed it to dry overnight but I think i was quite mean with the vaseline.

Will look out for the article and have another play soon.
Jennie

Is this in the new Craft Stamper??  In which case I'll have to wait until the middle of next week.  Now who's teasing!!!

Love the colours Becky, shame I cant really see the effect in the photo.
Mickie

thanks for telling us that Becky - will try it your way.  CS are a bit hit and miss with their instructions aren't they?  Having said that they do have some great projects

How about doing the peeld paint technique as the CS challenge for October? If you are up for this I will set up a thread under the Challenge topic

Yep but need to get the mag first.  All depends on what you are using too to get the effect.

Don't worry Jennie -all you need is vaseline and 2 colours of acrylic paint. there will be no deadline anyway - hope we have wetted your appetite!

I'll have to go hunting in the "bruck" drawer in the kitchen.  That's where most of the unused things go these days.
vonny

Glad we gave you a heads up!
Miriam

Finally got round to this one!!!

Thank you ladies...

I used a copper base paint and over poainted in antique white.  The stamp was a paper artsy stamp.

I really enjoyed doing it (once I got round to it!!)
Jennie

Miriam it is beautiful!  Might make me have another go .........

So who is choosing the technique for January - some of you will be getting your mag soon I expect. I probably won't get mine until the end of next week given Hogmanay and New Year!
Beckyb

I am sure that no one will mine if you choose this time Jennie

Nice of you Becky, but I get mine so much later than everyone else you will be almost getting your February copy before I could make a decision  Laughing
vonny

Beautiful work miriam. It's great that  with a challenge there isn't a deadline like with a swap, well done for getting it done.

I'm quite happy for you to choose Jennie as there is no real rush to get the challenge up. We also have the first tag one to keep us busy  Smile
Beckyb

I agree with Vonny Jennie you can choose the next one.

Miriam

Absolutely - I have plenty to keep me going at the moment!!  I am happy to wait a few weeks.
Mickie

Here! Here!  Go For it Jennie Laughing

Perhaps we should take it in turns to choose the Craft Stamper challenge?

vonny

That seems very fair Mickie, good idea. I'm happy to do one, perhaps after Jennie?
