Afternoon all, hope it has been a lovely day wherever you are.  Beautiful sunshine here all day.

Had a super day yesterday at Book Club.  The book we made was like a file with a holder inside for pens and paperclips.  Difficult to describe but there's a couple of photos in my Gallery.

Craft show sounds interesting Becky.  Nice to find one where you can go and look for new ideas but not overspend Wink

I had a great weekend at Jennie's workshop this weekend - we did lots of art journal pages and learnt lots of new techniques. Thanks again Jennie. I've put some photos in my gallery. Margaret

Evening all.  It looks like you have all been busy and having a nice time.

I've had a tough few days - couldn't make it into work on Friday & Saturday and Sunday were on and off!  I did, however, get to do some crafting -I will upload my pics this week and put them into the gallery.

I am hoping to have a quieter week this week - and I will hopefully get some more crafting done!

You look after yourself Miriam. Mickie  I did overspend it is so easy to do although my card stayed in my purse only spent the cash I had taken. I am looking forward to Farnborough the end of the month that is much more of a me show.

Oh Miriam, such a shame but glad to see you got some crafting in too.

I did wonder about going to Farnborough Becky but I think it would be just a bit far for me to drive.

Looks to be a bit of a dull day outside so will catch up with things domestic.  Have Tuesday Group tonight and the topic is Circus Skills For The Over 50s.

Have a good day everyone

The postie has just been with some goodies from Country View Crafts - when I saw Jennie's lovely card using one of Tim's flower stamps I just had to get it! It has a matching die. I also got the new pistachio distress ink - lovely! Despite being far away from craft shops/fairs I can manage to spend money!

Hope you enjoy your circus skills course, Mickie.

Sorry that you've not been well Miriam - take care and try not to overdo things.  Margaret

Thank you Margaret.  Just spent a small fortune on the Countryview site Rolling Eyes  I was so in need of the new Monthly DI colours.  I did exercise some self control though, I didn't go for the whole range; just the ink pads.  While I was there I really had to indulge in a couple of the new PaperArtsy stamp plates too.

The Circus Skills evening was really good fun.  No stilts or trapeze work though.  The lady who came to tell us all about it was one of the instructors for the opening show for the para-olympics.  She got us juggling with balls, scarves and spinning plates.  I need to get some juggling balls now - they call them thuds because they don't bounce!  Apparently there is a study claiming that juggling, because you have to use both sides of the brain simultaneously, aids against Alzheimers.  Another reason to learn to juggle is that it can be quite waist trimming with all that picking the balls up from the floor you have to do Wink
vonny

sounds fun mickie -I learn the piano which seems to stimulate all my brain and most of my body too (but doesn't trim my waist) Laughing
Trapeze at 50 -that is amazing Becky!

Enjoy Farnborough Becky (and mickie if you go) i aim to go to Stamperama in Stevenage on 1st March

Sounds as though you had a fun Mickie it is something different to do.Another dark and dismal day but I have nothing planned having problems with the stair lift so hoping the man comes out today.

Another damp, grey, day.  All my joints seem to be aching.  Not sure whether this is age and weather related or man flu.  Possibly the latter as I have been sneezing quite a lot. Wink

Hoping to have a play with the gesso masterclass in the February Craft Stamper today (if I'm up to it of course).  I even went out and bought some clear gesso from our local art shop, so you can see I am keen
Beckyb

How did the gesso technique Mickie.
Got man out today for stairlift so fingers crossed he can sort it.
Looks dull and cold outside.Postman has just been and brought me some goodies I ordered so I am a happy bunny.

Evening all..... so much for a quiet week.... all I can say is thank goodness it's Friday!

It's been a really busy week.... but I plan to have as much r&r as possible this weekend.....  I am cooking a meal for Valentine meal tomorrow and apart from the washing the only thing I plan is crafting!!

Wendy sent me some more of Darcy's stamps and the new Graphic 45 - so plan to have some fun!!
Beckyb

You lucky thing Miriam being sent stuff to play with have fun. I played with my new paperartsy stamps yesterday and enjoyed it  I so much prefer red rubber stamps than clear.Taking Keith out for a meal today for Valentines. Man coming back out to stairlift think it is the batteries. Hope you all have a lovely day sending you all hugs.

Gesso going slowly because I have man flu!  However, I am having fun with it.  the Gesso that is.  Will post some pics once I am done.  Went to Tesco this morning to buy some of those little foil pie cups and guess what?  Yes, came away with all sorts but nothing made of foil or indeed, cup shaped!

Miriam am so envious.  Not only the stamps but the new Graphic 45 too!  You are going to have such fun playing with them.

Hope your stairlift gets sorted out soon Becky.  They must be like cars: wonderful when working!  What new PaperArtsy stamps did you get?  Think all their new stamps are fabulous.  Am now after Lin Brown's wicked chickens - think they will do well in the journals.   Do agree with you, red rubber is so much more preferable to clear.  For a start you can't tear the rubber ones!

have a loving day everyone
vonny

yep, i love red rubber too!

I am very behind you all with your art journalling but have tried stamping variuos inks onto acrylic paint -to find that DIs run! Is this the same with the Paperartsy paint (mine is the cheapy stiff)

Meant to just look at a pattern for a shawl today -then cast on and got started and knitted all afternoon!!!  Very Happy
Miriam

Hope you got the stair lift sorted Becky.

Mickie - hope you are feeling better....

Vonny - how far have you got with the knitting!!

I love red rubber too.... and the new Paper Artsy stamps are just amazing.

Vonny - I find the Fresco Finish paints very good and they last forever as you don't need to use much!

We went out for lunch today - am feeling really drained!  Have received my appointment for April - hope it comes soon!!
vonny

I did a trial piece and have now done about 20 rows of the actual shawl.
