The snow has gone so not so bright today. It was the AGM of the Scrapbookers on Saturday followed by a take away Chinese. Then we all worked on our own layouts. It's always good to have time to catch up. To celebrate our 10th anniversary we got aprons embroidered with a logo - see below. Everyone loved the aprons but think they're too nice to get covered in ink!

Sunday I spent doing some work on my course - we're on to phonetics this week which I knew nothing about but now know a little! I have a big essay to write over the next few weeks so will have to get going. Not so much time for crafting but will have to get the Z tag done.

love the apron Margaret -it would be a shame to get it inly/painty. hope you got some cards done today Becky.
I trundled up at line dancing to find it was cancelled (after sitting in the hall for 10 mins -peaceful tho!) so walked round to doctors to drop off a prescription instead then made a card! Spent the afternoon making a flat pack chest of drawers.

Met up with Miriam at Stamperama, which was lovely. Also waved at Jo. Had a great time  Very Happy

Well Vonny got 1 card done  Very Happy and then started playing with my journal so have to do some today.Gorgeous apron Margaret I have just got one for the Wanderlust course I am on and mine is dirty I am wearing it. Have a friend coming to craft today then going to tea with Zoe and co Libs wants to show me the hot tub which is all set up now, her new toilet which washes and dries her such fun it can also be done by remote and a new mobile hoist she got last week. x

You are right Margaret, the apron is far too nice to get ink/paint on.  What fun your AGM must have been Laughing

Glad you had such a good time at Stamperama Vonny - wish it wasn't so far away.

Amazing all the aids that are available for Libs, so nice she will be able to do more independently.  Expect you had a lovely tea time Becky

Art class was good on Monday - teacher even liked my tango dancers and showed it off to everyone.  Unfortunately it was a preparatory piece in pastel on sugar paper and I wasn't confident I could reproduce it on pastel paper so I painted their feet entwined instead using shades of grey Rolling Eyes

Horrible weather today - not cold but wet ugh!  Had a committee meeting this morning so I think I shall be crafting this afternoon Laughing

does the Wanderlust apron have a logo Becky? Good that you are using it. Love the sound of Libs all in one toilet -amazing what there is available  Smile
Nice to get some recognition for you art Mickie -and hope you got a bit of crafting done.
Wet here too so drove to knitting group -it is getting bigger and they have ordered more tables for us!
in the afternoon met a friend for a chat at a community café run by some people with learning disabilities so supporting a good cause as well as catching up. then made a start on some ATCs for my UKStampers swap.

My apron has Wanderlust  2016 so it will be a nice reminder.Well done on your art work Mickie bet you felt pleased with yourself. Libby bits and pieces were brilliant I saw them all in use she had such a smile on her face do love her so much.  xx

Managed to do some crafting this morning - had some last minute inspiration for a card challenge. I used some new PaperArtsy stamps and mask which Jennie mentioned recently. I got the leaf ones which will be really useful. Then I got the minutes out to the Scrapbookers so that's me up-to-date with the admin.

Looking forward to the last episode of Shetland this evening although it was a pity we missed a week - I'm having trouble remembering what happened!

Have a good weekend everyone.

busy day Margaret -there are a lot of new Paperartsy stamps to choose from!
I spent the morning doing chores but had some time to stamp in the afternoon and finished a few cards that were half done  Smile

Discovered a super new resist method yesterday and spent much of the day playing with it.  I say new, it was new to me using Micro Glaze, which I had only thought of as a medium to protect watercolour.  Oh me of little imagination Rolling Eyes

Art Society meeting today.  We had a critique of work from a local professional artist.  Very interesting and I do wish I had taken my notebook and pen with me as I will never remember all the good advice and tips that she gave.  That'll learn me!

Off to a workshop at Lingfield tomorrow with Helen Chilton.  We shall be painting on bisque.  Sounds interesting.  I'm hoping to do a jug or a vase.  Definitely something different Laughing

think it must be new as isn't micro glaze a fairly new product? Shame you forgot the notebook Mickie -perhaps you could make an altered one so you feel you have to show it off  Laughing  Enjoy the workshop tomorrow.
Snowing first thing so cancelled my piano lesson -of course it then stopped! Have had sleet and hail during the day but  nothing has settled. Stayed in and done some art work though -finished a couple of journal pages and a card too Forum Index -> General
