Have a good week of resting (with a little crafting) miriam. Not doing much this week either Becky
Mickie

Art class this morning.  I do love Mondays nowadays Laughing Today I drew my first (and hopefully, last) horse ever.  My poor brain hurts with all the concentration.  We also touched on perspective - more brain ache.  I drove over to M&S to do some shopping afterwards and had a coffee in their cafe.  I just sat there staring at the sea until I felt restored Laughing

Do get all the rest you can this week Miriam tempered with a little light crafting to stop you becoming stir crazy.

I am having a quiet week Vonny crafting with friends tomorrow Thurs I have my Library club Fri nothing Sat we are taking Dad to see a singer Emma Ballantine in Salisbury she has a gorgeous voice.
They are getting you to do a lot in your art class Mickie as long as you enjoy it.

Having a quiet day in today and of to Tuesday Group this evening to hear all about the Nakasendo Trail.  Hope to get my ATCs and a couple of other swaps done but the sun is shining and the garden is beckoning.  Isn't that the glory of not working?  Just take the day as it comes
vonny

that is so true Mickie! Smile Your art class does seem to be stretching you!
Been doing a boring agenda and updating a constitution this morning -but needs must!
Mickie

So true Vonny.  I have just been looking out of my Craft Room window and instead of seeing that horrible new estate that robbed me of my sea view; I found I was working out perspectives and vanishing points Laughing
Beckyb

Laughing At least you are looking at things in a different way Mickie. Hope you have a less boring day Vonny
I am out today crafting with friends looking forward to it doing some colouring today so that should keep me quiet.

Mickie I wondered if you were hoping that the new estate would vanish!
Mickie

Think I'm getting used to the estate but they could just knock down the houses between me and the sea Laughing   Nice not to have to trek around looking for a perspective exercise though

I'm off for lunch and a matinee with a friend in a  minute.  She is treating me to the day out for my birthday.  Sun is shining too so all in all it will be a lovely day!

Hope you all have a good one too
Mickie

Quiet on here today - hope all is well and you are all just busy.

Yesterday's matinee was good (as was the lunch).  We saw And Then There Were None based on an Agatha Christie book. Tonight I'm out with another friend and we are going Italian.  Shall be walking down to the town in the hopes that I can free up some calories before the meal Laughing

Sorry to be so late posting - we got back from Ireland late Monday after a pretty eventful journey over two days! finally landing at Sumburgh in the teeth of  gale, sideways and on one wheel! I was itching to get back to everything on Tuesday morning but have been rocked by a couple of things happening in the family. So just about getting my head together now and ready for packing up for the weekend workshop.

We had a great time in Ireland - sore hands from playing and my head ringing with new music. It was lovely meeting up with old friends and Jackie had the wives making felt flowers one afternoon which was a lot of fun and very enjoyable.

I will pick up soon, but hope everyone is well xxxx
Mickie

Glad you had a good time in Ireland Jennie.  Sorry you had such a boiler of a journey home and then to get shocking news on top of that, you poor thing you  must have felt quite crushed.  Hope the outlook improves by the hour.

Thanks Vonny.  Had a lovely evening.  I do like the Trattoria; the waiters make such a fuss of you.  "La Bella Signora" may be old enough to be their grandmother in some cases but that doesn't stop the latin charm.  Quite puts a spring in ones step Laughing

Another lovely evening coming up - the actual birthday dinner.  We are all going to a pub that does Bistro style dining.
vonny

glad you did get back safely Jennie pand hope the problems are getting sorted. sounds like you had a great time -and the felt flowers sound lovely too
Beckyb

Glad you are back safe and sound Jennie hope family probs can be sorted sending hugs to you.
Hope you had a good meal out Mickie although by the sounds of it you have had lots of birthday meals.
Had a lovely day with my Dad yesterday we took him to see Emma Ballantine sing she has a gorgeous voice he knew her when she was at school in Salisbury and he enjoyed it so thats the main thing and she was pleased to see him.
Having a day in I know we have visitors at some time.

Birthday dinner was very good - it kept me full up all day Saturday too Laughing

Had routine breast scan this morning.  How nice, especially on a Sunday morning.  I did learn that I have strong muscles from all that swimming and horse riding I do.  What?!  Apparently even gardening can do it.  As I haven't done any gardening for about six months I would just say it must be all that crafting I do, so there you have it ladies; crafting gives you strong muscles in the upper chest region Laughing  Laughing

So, have coffee, toasted tea cake and a bottle of water to hand and am settling down to watch the last three episodes of Hostage.

Enjoy your day everyone
