Well what can I say …… it has been the most AMAZING weekend. I have so enjoyed the workshops with Ania (Finnabair).  She is an amazing tutor and I have loved working in her style - both with white AND black gesso.

It was also wonderful to meet up with Mickie and we had a great time from the moment she got off the train! We also met some lovely people on the workshops, some known online and others new. And of course the Art from the Heart shop ………… for me, the first time visiting a shop (Hobbycraft Aberdeen doesn't count!). It was jaw droopingly wonderful and fabulous to see everything in real life.  I rather indulged, but it would have been rude not  to  Laughing

I got off the boat this morning (a very quiet peaceful night and sharing the cabin with an old work colleague which was great).  So now I am unpacking everything  Very Happy supplies not clothes  Laughing

I'll get some pictures later and post them in the gallery.

I am still floating at the moment  Very Happy

I've just been on your blog Jennie - what wonderful creations.  Amazing what you created in the time Very Happy  Having been to your workshops it seems amazing that this was the first one you had attended.  Looks like you both had a great weekend.

Had great ideas of doing lots indoors today but haven't achieved very much.  I did manage to repot some indoor plants and tidy up my corner of the garage.

I hope to have a play with some goodies from Country View Crafts later - I can't believe how quickly they came as I only ordered them yesterday!  I got another couple of Tim Holtz layering stencils and a set of JOFY stamps.  I've looked at them on blogs and liked what folk created with them.

sounds wonderful Jennie!

I had a crafting session yesterday with a friend and made a couple of British style wedding cards that a friend had requested. Quite day today doing some quilting. Out to knit and natter and lunch tomorrow.

I am still recovering from the fabulous weekend Jennie and I had in Harrogate.  It was super to meet her at long last and I don't think we stopped talking, even when we were both tired out.

I was also pleased to be back in Harrogate after 40 odd years.  It has changed a bit but remains a lovely town.  Going to Bettys was such a treat too.  I don't think you could get a meal there in my day other than afternoon tea, which was always good.

I don't know what I expected from Art from the Heart shop but was so pleased to find that it was definitely my kind of craft emporium.  There was nothing "licky sticky" in sight.

As to the workshop; oh if only I had taken the plunge and done the Saturday ones as well.  Ania is very clever and keeps everyone sweet.  She refers to everyone as "friends", which immediately makes for an amicable atmosphere.  I met someone I did a class with in Daventry last year and we had a bit of a catch up, plus people I knew from their blogs or Facebook.

All in all it was the best of times and I am so pleased I went.

I am in danger of becoming quite boring on the subject so will leave you all to have a lovely day.

Made the first card with the group of adults with learning difficulites who i volunteer with. We used shaped window cards and filled the apertures with cut stips of differnt papers. they were all very pleased with what they made.

Such a worthwhile thing to do Vonny.  Glad it went well for all parties.

I think I am becoming a Workshop junkie.  Am off to the Craft Barn tomorrow for a Masterclass with Helen Chilton.  We shall be making a box this time but with a difference.  This one has a drawer in it.  Am staying over as it is the Extravaganza weekend and with all the demos going on I don't want to miss anything.

Catch you all next week.  Have a lovely weekend.
