Morning all well the start of a new week  weather overcast to say the least but hot and stuffy hope we get a thunder storm. I am making cards today  I am so behind and my spare box is depleted. Sorry Vonny missed the pic of your denim cardi looks lovely hope you will bring it to Stevenage when we meet up so I can see it IRL. What have you all got planned for the next few days,

it will be far from finished but will bring it if I remember!
Cold and windy here with showers -skirt has gone away and am back in jeans! And socks! Line dancing this morning and it seems ages since I was at this group. Meant to do a bit of crafting in the afternoon but after drawing up a cross stitch pattern I never got round to it.

Well I am back after an amazing week away. It was wonderful to catch up with all my lovely family, far and wide, and lovely to spend time with my brother looking up old family holiday haunts! Just beach huts, but they were special in those days. Then the weekend in Coventry - what can I say, it was an absolute blast! Two workshops each with Finnabair, France Papillon and Marta Lapkowska. Hard work and we had to work to a strict timetable to fit it all in, but absolutely wonderful. I learnt so much. I also spent the weekend with four other ladies I had never met before and we had so much fun. I also managed to spend time with Marjie Kemper from the US and Rachel Fisher who I had met on the Country View Crafts team. So back home with loads of ideas !!!  I will get some photographs of our projects taken when the light improves a bit.

Both Rachel and another lady called Jan would like to join us for our ATC swap so I'll be sending them an invitation to join the forum. Jan has not done ATCs before - she's normally 12 x 12 scrapbooking - but she loved the Mixed Media work and says it will be a real challenge to work so small.

We had wonderful weather in both Essex and Coventry but here today it is very wet, cold and grey. But at least I can get on with crafting and not feel I need to be doing the gardening!

Sounds like you had a great time Jennie - I look forward to the pics. We went to Hertfordshire today and had lunch with some old friends, had a lovely afternoon but oh my goodness the weather!!!! We had heavy, gusty rain all the way there and back. Still I don't think my pots will need watering for a few days Very Happy

We have a miserable day weather wise. That will be good Jennie some new people doing the Atc's swaps. I don't think they is a lot of places that need rain Scrapmate  I want to have the sun back  need to do some washing  I have most of the day in but are going to see a grandaughter  later as it is her Birthday and will then go on to craft club. Mojo has gone on a vacation and I have so much to do  Crying or Very sad

you must be exhausted Jennie -will be great if we get a few more people doing the ATC swaps and joining in on the forum too maybe. I'm sure the projects will be fab.
Pretty usual week so far but had a day in today and did a bot of dressmaking and some weaving -on my third scarf now. Here are my first two

Which part of Hertfordshire were you in Scrapmate? I used to work in the North/East of the county

Love the scarves Vonny  the pink one is pretty

Hi everyone!  What a week!  Even without my rating and crafting activities I think I would still be saying "what a week"!  Started off a bit dire, not to mention wet but seems to have ended in glorious sunshine.  Maybe this is summer at long last.

Went to the Jerwood at Hastings yesterday to meet a friend and I noticed while we were having coffee that the Alfie Elliott (RX60) is being painted - meant to take a photo and forgot.  Duh!!  For aficionados of PaperArtsy stamps this fishing boat is on Hot Picks HP1112

See you've been busy again Vonny - love the scarves.

Welcome back Jennie, however briefly!  You do seem to have had a great time. Good to learn that you've recruited a couple more ladies.

Hope you managed to get your spare card box filled this week Becky - I am so far behind with mine - all I have are a few "thinking of you" cards - not really so much use for them and they way they are done I cannot change the words to Happy Birthday or anything else.  That'll teach me Rolling Eyes

enjoy what's left of the weekend  Laughing Forum Index -> General
