Morning all bit damp here and we are off to see friends in Aldershot. Went to a craft show yesterday got some stamps and stencils hope I can find time to play with them  Very Happy we have a rather busy week  Sad  which I don't really like and next Saturday I am doing a workshop with Brenda which I am looking forward to that. x

glad you find some new items to buy Becky -there is always next week to play. What are you doing with Brenda -you always seem to be ahead of what she does here  Shocked
Not much crafting at all recently  Sad

Another beautiful day up here - we have forgotten what rain is!

I've not been doing much crafting lately either but have done some sorting of craft magazines. I keep buying these because I'm tempted by the stamps and then find that there is not much in the magazine!  As if I need any more stamps.

Will look forward to seeing what you make at your workshop, Becky.

As Margaret says a lovely sunny day but here in Tingwall it was rather windy.

Ive been catching up on two months of craft commitments so feel a little crafted out at the moment. And then when I thought I had everything done I got a commission for a 60th birthday canvas. Ive not done one this big before - only 8 x 10 inches but it seems huge !!!  I just have a couple of things to finish and that's me all done and dusted to the end of August.

Terry is in Faroe and hoping to sail Wed or Thurs for Scotland, so I have a flight booked on Sunday to Aberdeen. I'll stay with Adrian and Kirsten and the grandchildren for a couple of days and then join Terry. So finally everything is taking shape and my holiday plans are finalised. Just hope this weather holds. It really is lovely.  Cool  Cool  Cool

I am glad you are having good weather Margaret and Jennie ours here is all over the place bet you are looking forward to see the grandchildren Jennie and the away on Mrs Muir enjoy the time away. Had a lovely time out yesterday and a lovely meal  today we are in this morning and then taking Mum to eye hosp this afternoon time for her to have another injection in eye but they are working so that is good. x

Nothing happening on the house front - our house is under offer but waiting for the 3rd house in the chain to be sold. Hope something happens over the next couple of months - if not we'll have to think again.

well done Jennie for getting everything sorted -you definitely deserve some family time and some lovely sailing  Smile
Glad to hear that your mum's eye injections are working Becky and that you had a good time out and meal.
I went to knitting group this morning then the stitching group I run this afternoon -the ladies are starting to be able to read the charts on their own and work out where to start the next row -a real achievement  Very Happy
Out for a meal with ex colleagues tomorrow evening -will be good to catch up.

Hope it gets sorted soon Margaret it must be a pain to keep waiting lets hope the chain gets moving soon. You are enjoying your little groups Vonny at least they are listening to you and learning. I have a whole day in and so I am going to play or at least try I hurt my elbow when I fell out of bed and it is giving me some jip  Sad . x

hope you managed to craft in spite of your elbow Becky!
Had a nice meal out last night so having and easy morning now before art and craft group this afternoon -we are sewing felt birds -all come in a kit -so at least not a messy session  Smile

Hope you have a good time away Jennie you are going Sunday?. We went out for a meal we took Dad we had a lovely time but will not be going back there the menu was a disaster they had run out of quite a few of the meal and only had 1 steak left the puddings were as bad. Weather is miserable but I have put my towels on to wash. Doing my workshop tomorrow with Brenda looking forward to it. I am having a day in and will go with the flow. x

Weather here has changed and it's a lot colder.  Planning to do some crafting this afternoon once I get back from CAB. I've a lot of cards to make and some new stamps to try.

Hope you enjoy your workshop tomorrow, Becky. Sorry your meal was a disaster.

Enjoy your sailing Jennie - perhaps you'll be able to stay in touch if you now have internet on board.

shame about your meal Becky but it sounds like you managed to make the most of it.
Cold here today too. spent the day at a friends house spinning -and she provided a lovely lunch too  Smile

You've all been very busy whilst I've been awol Wink

Hope your elbow has stopped hurting Becky

Congratulations on 40 years Jennie.  Hope the weather stays fair for the sailing

Thanks for the name of the Icelandic author Margaret.  I have read just the one book set in Iceland and it bored me rigid but I did watch that serial earlier in the year on BB4 called Trap;sed which was set in Iceland and loved it!  So will give your author a go

Glad you enjoyed the Anne Cleves book Vonny - there's a fair few more to go

Had a really busy week - been out every day:  Monday art class, Tuesday checked out Active Leisure Club as an alternative to Tuesday Group which is  no more.  Farewell dinner for that on Tuesday evening then up to Lingfield on Wednesday for Inky Fingers, Thursday was Art Group, today I met a crafting buddy at the Clarity Open Day in Crowborough and as if that was not a busy enough week I'm back at Lingfield tomorrow for a workshop with Helen Chilton.
I'm going to spend Sunday catching up with sleep in my bed Laughing

wow what a crafty week for you Mickie! You deserve a rest  Very Happy

managed to get some journalling done today -colder weather helps as don't feel I should be making the most of the sunshine

Just popping in to say cheerio !! I am off tomorrow morning to Aberdeen to stay for a couple of days with the grandchildren before joining Terry and Mrs Muir in Lochinver.  I hope you all have a lovey summer and see you all in August !!

We'll miss you Jennie.  Have a super time anyway Laughing

Workshop today was super.  We used DecoArt Dazzling Metallics, packaging and Bo bunny papers to make a mixed media canvas.  Will hopefully finish it tomorrow if I wake up!  At the moment I feel I could sleep for a week, never mind a day. Laughing  Laughing
