Thank you for your lovely comments.  Here are some photos of Belmont House in Unst - I was doing my "lady of the manor" act in the drawing room.

Don't think I could afford the upkeep! The room I loved was a little study over the front door with a desk and a window overlooking the sea. I could have spent ages sitting there and reading.

Reminds me of the house in Father Ted, standing square and bravely doing battle with the elements Laughing

It looks wonderful Margaret. I was the planner for the restoration, so I only saw it in its pre-glory and then all the visits when everything was getting torn away or pulled apart.I did get invited to the opening but I was away unfortunately. I am really looking forward to hopefully going there next year with our Shetland crafting group.

It certainly is a beautiful building which has been very sympathetically restored. I'm hoping that the crafting weekend goes ahead so I can come back up!

lovely Margaret -it really pulls out the colours of the photo and the little bit of red makes it pop ( no doubt there is a technical term for this?)

Thanks for your lovely comments.  Here is another monochrome layout - I even managed some ink splatters this time! Think they work and tie the elements together.

Thanks Mickie - I actually used a Stampin Up stamp to do the splatters as I like to control where they go! It's from a set called Gorgeous Grunge.
