hi all
as requested another year to get our cards ready! I am using xmas carols/songs as the themes for this year. Interpret however you want and post your work here, month by month.

Jan -Silent Night
Feb -12 days of  Christmas
March- Rocking around the Xmas tree
April - Hark the Herald Angels sing
May -In the bleak midwinter
June - We three Kings
July - Santa Claus is coming to town
Aug - Jingle Bells
Sept -Oh Little Town of Bethlehem
Oct -The Holly and the Ivy
Nov -We wish you a Merry Xmas

Enjoy!

Well done Vonny - these look great with plenty of scope for folk to interpret them in different ways. Thanks for organising this.  Margaret

This is starting to feel a bit of an uphill struggle, tho with Xmas fast approaching it should be on our minds a bit more. Confused
Certainly need to look at my stamps for this one as nothing is springing to mind

Think this year's cards have been really well chosen Vonny and I do hope you will do the challenge again in 2016.  Sorry if it has felt a bit of an uphill struggle for you Cool

perhaps we could try something that could be for Xmas cards or more general? Perhaps colour combos or e.g. 3 things starting with...Don't know how this would work for Xmas but did think R could be red, ribbon, reindeer, robin??? Any comments or other suggestions?

Will give it some thought; although I quite liked the carol theme!

Also like the idea of three things beginning with ?

Then there's the Night Before Christmas verses.........

I think the letter would have to be selected to make sure that Xmas themes could be used so we would need 11 letters
I will give this some thought but would you be happy to have this as Xmas or general card (or both)?

I like the Christmas theme because I get to use my stash of seasonal stamps that would otherwise go unused.  However, I'm happy to go with the majority vote as always Laughing

I have found about 9 letters that would work well with Xmas. Have also had another idea of using classical music pieces -some would be more Christmassy than others tho e.g. Ode for Joy vs Swan Lake etc

oh please don't feel you need to apologise Margaret -it is there for people to do if and when they can and wish. Wanting to take part and having time are, as we all know, very different things  Smile
