Enjoy Exeter Becky -a new show is always enjoyable as they are all different and you get the more local traders too.

I am going to AllyPally for th first time in years but on Saturday.   It would have been good to meet up Vonnie - one day i'm sure.

Enjoy Exeter Becky - I hear it is bigger than AllyPally so you had best mug the bank manager before you go.

that's a shame mickie. Are you looking for anything in particular? there is nothing specific that i want which normal means I spend even more than when I have a rough list!

Found this a bit disappointing and spent very little. Did get some black brads that I have been looking for all year at various shows so that was good. A lot of the stalls had Tims stuff whereas at Newbury the organiser asks each stall to feature stamps of a different manufacturere which does result in a good range.
there was a lot of room between stalls as it was in a different hall and I don't know if it was this or if it really was less busy that usual. there were stencils and embossing folders/dies in abundance and quite a lot of decoupage stuff too.
Anyway still a good day out even tho we got soaked getting back to the car.

I went on saturday Mickie, sorry to have missed you! Managed to buy what I wanted, & watched some great demos. I'm going to try something with fresco paint, that I saw Lin Brown doing, today Smile

I had a super day at Ally Pally and, perhaps because I had a rough list, I didn't overspend.  Although, I do agree with Vonny, there didn't seem to be too many people there and loads of room to move about.  Even the demos were not overcrowded.

I did see a famous tv personality being less than gracious towards the end of the day though.  Perhaps there were reasons we knew nothing of.

I added to my collection of Fresco paints but have not had chance yet to use them.  I also bought a skoochy mat and have used that.  I can report that it does what they say it does.

Lin wasn't there on the Sunday (at least I didn't see her) and I missed her demoing on the stall. I did watch a couple of demos in the special area mainly so I could sit and rest tho!
Glad you both enjoyed it  Smile

I haven't been to Ally Pally for a little while it was always so crowded me and my scooter couldn't get around and nowhere near the stalls so it sounds as though it is a lot quieter now. Exeter was very busy

Becky there werea few people with scooters there - I hadn't realised that scooters came in so manydifferent sizes!  Anyway, they all seemed to have room to manoeuvre.

the was certainly a lot more room between stalls this time and I don't know if this just made it seem quieter or if there really were less people. Lots of Devon craft people seemed to be going to the Exeter show, and had even shut their shops for a day to go
